Millennials (people born between 1981 and 1996) are currently between the ages of 23 and 38. As the new generation Z (born between 1995 and 2010) enters the workforce, people from the millennial group are becoming less relevant. This means a newer way of thinking, newer way of grabbing consumer attention and newer way to strategise marketing campaigns. Most people born into generation Z were exposed to economic difficulties, often dealing with a struggle to find authenticity/identity. This generation is highly sociable, with a strong adaptation to social media. This group is also familiar with high internet speeds, fast technology and instant results.
This curious generation of people are very hard to lie to. That being said, companies will have to adopt even more inclusive and authentic marketing campaigns. Companies are facing a market where ethics and compassion for others matter, now more than ever. What generation are you a part of?
